HE COULD hear the heavy footsteps of the escaped prisoner coming their way, dropping his hand to the rifle between them. He took a chance it pulling a handgun from its holster and handing it off to her, meeting her gaze sternly.

“I’m trusting you. Don’t fuck this up, MADSEN. You only shoot it, not me, not any soldiers that show up. The ALIEN is the TARGET; aim for its optics, if we can blind it, we can bring it down. UNDERSTAND?”

                    as he stepped into the intelligence hanger. His blue optics swept over the various faces that filled this particular room until his gaze fell on the appropriate organic. The one that had decoded the Decepticon signal or so the rumor told.

          He moved further into the hanger until he lingered near to her workstation, then he crouched to become eye level with the human. A short, secret scan occurred--checking her vitals and overall status for any spikes in discomfort, as the alliance was still new and fragile and he didn’t want to make the woman uncomfortable.

          “You are the human, Maggie Madsen, yes,” he inquired though already knew the answer. “I have some... questions if you could indulge me.”

How was this tiny creature able to decode an actual Decepticon signal? It’s proven time and time again that it can decode any encryption that it’s presented with. I don’t get it–humans aren’t supposed to do that. How smart is it?
