Masquerade! Paper faces on parade. @rebeloftherealm
The New Year was always the occasion to set up a ball. For example a masked ball. It meant that every single noble would try to outdo the others. Not only when it came to the party itself but also, when they attended others', when it came to attire, coiffures and so on.
The young earl Phantomhive was the one famous for his balls. Now, his sumptuously decorated residence was slowly filling with equally splendidly dressed guests. Golden and silver masks were hiding their faces. That caused a great opportunity to hurt anyone here but that was why the servants were here. Not only were they to serve the nobles with some drinks but also observed the situation in case anything happened.
"Trancy's invited as well," reminded them the young boy, "therefore you should keep your eyes on him." The servants nodded and mingled, trying to remain unrecognized.
The young maid adjusted her glasses, hidden behind a shiny mask. The young Master provided them with the attires that were to help them not to stand out from the nobles. The dress was definitely uncomfortable but Mei-Rin was rather pleased, feeling like a lady. A faint smile appeared on her face as she made her path towards the dance floor to enjoy watching the people dancing for a while.
