"What did I do to make you hate me?" Sapphire asked with tears in her eyes. It had been months since the two trainers had spoken, and Ruby had just disappeared without a word. "W-what did I do....?" It was only seconds later that her knees caved to her shaking body. She sat on the floor before him, feeling more pathetic than she ever had in her life. She was stronger than this...why did Ruby have this effect on her all the time?
Ruby wasn’t prepared for this. Not prepared for it at all. In the recent months, his life became super hectic, which included coordinating practice, interviews, and the contests themselves. He didn’t mean to suddenly disappear on her, but he had to distance himself from any potential distractions, including Sapphire. “Sapphire…please, stop crying” he calmly stated. He hated seeing her cry like this, and it hurt him even more knowing he was the source of her anguish. “Why would I hate you?
