Do you want to read a whimsical rags-to-riches fantasy story starring a female protagonist who discovers she's really a princess? A princess who's kind-hearted and feminine, but can hold her own - the sort of woman who doesn't need men, but DOES like having them around if they behave (and with some serious polycule vibes to boot)? It's got all the tropes you'd expect - talking animals, dragons, faerie queens, benevolent gods, dashing princes (and princesses), legends and prophecies, fierce and loyal knights - but with a more modern vibe, putting a refreshing new spin on things! Not to mention MULTIPLE heavily implied queers, POCs, and CANON neurodivergent characters (multiple of each!) Get ready to be swept away to a world of fantasy and wonder, where you can enjoy the best aspects of the genre WITHOUT the misogynistic, racist, and queerphobic overtones too many fantasy worlds fall prey to!

This heartwarming story that celebrates strength in diversity stars a visitor from outer space who joins the struggle to achieve justice for marginalized people and cultures, bringing a unique perspective of their own to human affairs. The story has strong themes of principled resistance and civil disobedience, and it features fierce critiques of many different oppressive power structures, including imperialism, colonialism, racism, and classism. Even better, the narrative is almost entirely focused on peoples and cultures of color from all over the world, including multiple POC members of the main cast! Also, one of the main cast is both mentally and physically disabled (but portrayed positively and shown to be highly effective despite their challenges), and several others have a refreshingly polyam-coded relationship that eschews trite love triangle plots at every opportunity. There's not much else like it, so give it a try - I promise you won't regret it!
