Scream Factory has revealed the specs for The [REC] Collection, which streets on September 25. The box set includes all four films in the Spanish found footage franchise: [REC], [REC] 2, [REC] 3: Genesis, and [REC] 4: Apocalypse.
2007′s [REC] and 2009′s [REC] 2 are co-directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza. Plaza took the reigns on 2012′s [REC] 3: Genesis, while Balagueró helmed 2014′s [REC] 4: Apocalypse. The original was remade in the US under the title Quaratine in 2008.
Each film will be on a separate disc in its own Blu-ray case, with all four housed inside a rigid slipcase. They’ll be presented in their original Spanish language with English subtitles, while the first [REC] will also include its English dub.

In [REC], a TV reporter and her crew are asked to cover a crew of firemen on duty. What seems like a routine story about a night at the fire station soon turns into a nightmare. Trapped inside a quarantined building, the crew must try to survive the terror that rages inside.

[REC] 4: Apocalypse returns focus to Ángela Vidal, the young reporter who has managed to make it out of the building alive. But she hasn’t made it out of the building alone as she carries the seed of the strange infection. She is taken to a provisional quarantine facility: the perfect location for the virus to be reborn.
May I say that the Jurassic Park recommendation is the best example of "technically correct but nowhere close to relevant" I've encountered in the entire tourney. I was on the floor for a good while. This is what I came for. Thanks to @pygean-weapon!
