Anticipating new fic interest with the new episode on everyone's minds, here's a brief promotion for my weekly rec-list effort, Fander Fic Rec Friday.

Before I claim my Erised fic, I just want to direct you all to some of my favourite entries. I suppose this can be considered my Erised rec list, though I haven’t had the time to read them all, so this may be updated!

Each of these I loved for various reasons, but what they each have in common is that they are well thought out, well written, charming, and memorable. The * is for my hard recs, one’s that really fulfilled my weird little quirks and likes, lol.

When 18 year old Armitage falls pregnant by mistake Brendol Hux decides to move the whole family away to stop anyone finding out about the disgrace. The house they move to is haunted though, but despite that Armitage isn't scared by the presence he often feels near him.

Terrificly written long story. The atmosphere of dead-end Matt finds himself in made me think of Updike and Roth books.

The story is 16 parts long and continuing. I’m subscribed. I specially like it’s cyberpunk settings - it is a bit closer to Dredd, than to SW.

Fic Rec
Gotham Ghoul - NC-17 - Jay/Tim Jason thought being put together out of spare parts meant he was the world's only human-ghoul hybrid. That was, until a child turned up on the Manor doorstep claiming to be Bruce's son. Warnings for cannibalism. Also pretty dark (the way I like it).
Notes: I haven’t read Tokyo Ghoul, but this story is totally understandable anyway. This author does some great dialogue/banter, and Tim is just... wow. There’s the little liar I love. It’s going to take some work to get to the bottom of his story in this fic, and I’m looking forward to every second (finally an author who doesn’t hand us the entire plot on a plate, usually as the majority of the first chapter--is it just me, or is that a really bad habit of a lot of fanfic writers?). If you’re tired of weak, helpless Tim portrayals and you like fantasy, this is a great story. I can’t wait to see the rest of it unfold.
The Moon and the Stars ~ TsukiYama Rec List
A list of (some of) my favorites Tsukiyama fics, in no particular order:
Resolutions, by starspangledlibra. Rating: PG-13. Words: 4335. Summary: Tsukishima would have liked to tell himself that this was where the list ended, then crumple it up, throw it away, and forget it ever happened, but the last item on the list demanded attention. It was the one resolution he had attempted, and failed at, so many times, he'd lost count. And now, this failure was staring him right in the face. #5. Kiss Yamaguchi Tadashi.
soulmate, dry your eyes, by memorde. Rating: G. Words: 2916. Summary: Everyone’s growing faster than Tadashi, and he feels like if he moves too slowly he’ll get left behind. Tsukki isn’t coping well either.
Ending Is Just Another Word for Beginning, by someonenew. Rating: PG-13. Words: 1771. Summary: After only two weeks of going out, Yamaguchi tries to break up with Tsukishima for all the wrong reasons.Tsukishima? Isn't having it.
by any other name, by memorde. Rating: PG-13 . Words: 4800. Summary: A Concise Guide to Dealing with People Asking if your Best Friend and/or Crush is Single: Panic. Lie. Run.
Redefining Routine, by skell. Rating: PG-13. Words: 75834. Summary: It was on a lively Friday morning, one that was full of potential and uncertainty, that a chance meeting between a teacher and a tour guide would spark a change in what they both considered as routine.
Second Best, by megginee. Rating: R. Words: 17240. Summary: Maybe the best way to get over Tsukki is to dive headfirst into someone else. But that’s not his only motivation. He genuinely likes Oikawa, too. Given a little time, he might like him as much as Tsukki. You can love more than one person, after all. This, in all likelihood, would just be speeding along the inevitable. Note: This fic is also IwaOi and OiYama.
