The Reception: For Guests of the Wedding
Wow. . .
Victor's really blown away by all the care and attention put into setting up the wedding breakfast by his and Alice's friends. March has baked a beautiful cake, covered with blue and white roses and sugar butterflies, and there's plenty of sandwiches and finger foods and other things to nibble. Tables and chairs are in abundance, the punch flows freely, and everyone just seems to having a wonderful time.
Victor spots Alice talking to some of the guests and takes a moment to just admire her in her wedding dress. She's truly a vision of loveliness today. I wonder if we'll ever have a daughter that she'll pass the dress down to, he thinks as he sips his own drink. Or a son who asks if his own bride can see if it fits. Though I don't think anyone could look half as good in it as her. . .
Still, there's plenty of time to ruminate on the future -- and Alice isn't the only person at this wedding he knows. He supposes he ought to talk to some other people as well. He looks around, making sure all the guests are really enjoying themselves.
Weddings can be awkward. Nice but awkward lol
