More pills for my own curiosity. This time it’s for my fellow autistic people and folks with autism. How do you feel about the term “autist”?
I reclaim it
I use it without caring about the context
I prefer person first language
I don’t like it because of the associations
I don’t have a problem with it but I don’t use it
I don’t like it
I hate it
Non-Autistic
Redefined words

Himbo - hyperrmasculin person who is confident in themselves, doesn’t judge others or their body modifications, and is ditsy (stupid (in a non derogatory way), sweet, and beefy)
thembo - androgonus or mixed fam/mac person who is confident in themselves, doesn’t judge others or their body modifications, and is ditsy (stupid (in a non derogatory way), sweet, femme, masc, combination, or neither)
yo gtfo with your 'queer' bullshit. we aren't all slurs, Marsha
1). I’m here. I’m Queer. Die mad about it.
2). The name is Molly, bitch. Get it right.
3). Learn your own fucking history and stop swallowing gender essentiallist bullshit. Lesbian is used as a slur. Gay is used as a slur. Bi is used as a slur. Trans is used as a slur. Most of our words started as slurs. All of our words are thrown back at us as slurs. The only reason it’s fashionable to shit on people who prefer ‘Queer’ is because of all the names we use, Queer is the biggest, the most open, and the most inclusive. TERFs love to shit on it, because queer doesn’t force people to put themselves into tiny little buckets which they can then label as other.
4). Queer is my word. I use it. I like it. I have fought tooth and nail to claim it. It rolls off the tongue a lot easier than the four separate words I would otherwise have to use to specify my orientation. If you don’t like it, that’s your problem. Die mad about it.
5). If you don’t like any of this, please allow me to invite you to fuck right the hell off.
crumple.

it's baffling to me that he would claim to be against excessive punishment while also saying that the spanking should cause "genuine" tears. it's so subjective. if the parent isn't convinced the child's pain is genuine they're supposed to keep hitting, but not too much. when, then, is too much?
it is not wise.

the pain mattered.

hi, as a long term follower with pretty severe ptsd from homophobia and transphobia, may i ask you to tag the word queer as q word? i wouldnt ask if it werent an issue of health
Heya! I’m sorry you’re going through that, but because of a common way people block tags, filters usually pick up tagging the full word better than q* or similar.
If I didn’t want to see the word “basket” and blocked “b word,” a post tagged “b word” would get blocked, but not if it was tagged b*sket. Or a post tagged “basket” would still go through.
But if I block “basket” itself, it filters out a lot more. Some filters will even block untagged posts that say “basket” in the text of the post. (And every blog you follow doesn’t have to change to a specific tag.)
Not sure what you’re using but lots of people use Tumblr Savior, or tumblr itself has a tag-blocking feature (but I can’t vouch for it).
Plus, it can give power back to the people who use the word as a slur to continually censor it.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help! I don’t want to throw off anyone who has the full word blocked by changing my tagging system again.
