THEY ARE FINALLY RELEASING AN OFFICIAL GERMAN EDITION OF NORTH & SOUTH
Get it weil er heißt (P)ferdinand und Kabale klingt so ähnlich wie Caballos
karel čapek, biografie eckard thiele, reclam leipzig 1988 (excerpt)
Reclam macht mit bei der Impfkampagne und ich finde es viel zu gut...
Wenn andre vieles um den Einen tun,
So ist's auch billig, dass der Eine wieder
Sich fleißig frage, was den andern nützt
After surviving several traumatic events, Tony Stark finds comfort in exploring his artistic side by writing a novel about his pet alpaca, Gerald.
Marvel Pet Bingo: N4 Alpaca (Tony Stark)

(I know I totally stole the cover design from Reclam. Please don’t yell at me too much: the edit is for fun and not for profit, and I have a lot of respect for the publishing company.)
Rammstein. 100 Seiten.
I just found out, that there exists a Rammstein book published by ‘Reclam’ and I cannot stop giggling about this.
Explanation for anyone who lives outside of Germany and therefore probably does not know why this is making me laugh:
The Publisher Reclam is one of the oldest and also best known in Germany and I am sure that nearly everyone growing up in Germany - no matter if East or West - had to read a book published by them at least once. Likely more often, because their top seller are the books out of the “Universal Bibliothek” series. Simple paperback editions of nearly every literary classic ever written in pocketsize at low cost and therefore used in every school and university almost whenever you discuss a classic.
Yellow for German (/German versions of) classics, orange for bilingual versions (the original version + the German Version side by side), red for classics in foreign languages with some vocabulary wirtten on the same site (this saves so much time), green for explanations, interpretations, original sources and blue for study guides. (There also exists a magenta version for non-fictional books about politics, music, society, art, religion etc..) Besides this “Universal Bibliothek” series they do publish some “nicer to look at” hardcover versions of classics, but usually their spectrum offers exclusivly books which either are classics or deal with classics. Even their books about music cover classical acts like Beethoven, Verdi, Mozart, opereas and ballet or music as part of society during a certain time. The more contempary acts which found their way into Reclam are acts like ‘The Beatles’, ‘The Rolling Stones’, ‘Eric Clapton, ‘Abba’, ‘Jimi Hendrix’ and some other older musicans.
They started this series “100 Seiten” (100 sites) a few years ago which always give a short but precise summary about a certain topic. There they publish inter alia some books, which deal with more modern topics , but still already left some big culutural footprint. You find books about ‘Star Wars’, ‘Game of Thrones’ even ‘Gilmore Girls’. But Rammstein is the only modern band (till now) which met the demand of this publisher.
And this makes me somehow giggly and happy, that they are published within all these great and big names, which made such a huge impact already.
So it’s Shakespeare, Goethe and Rammstein, I guess :) . . . . . .

Well-loved books
September 03: Annotations
I only annotated books in school. Outside of school I did not mark books at all and nowadays, I mark certain sentences with a sticky note. The fun thing is finding out why I marked something. Could be a great quote, could be a sentinment I can/could relate to. Could be a total mystery.
