My New Record table + record storage. Ikea Nornas Bookshelf. I recently came across a post on a random blog I found showing a very similar Ikea solution and though omg I have to have that! Unfortunately this line of furniture has been discontinued but you can still find some of them at Ikea stores. The original was the Nornas Sidebord, the base is the full length of the bottom. Like I said this is the bookshelf, it should have been standing upright but I just flipped it on its side and stuck the base in the middle. The lady at Ikea said “you cannot do this!” I was like pfft I’ll show you!
The table is nice and long and the boxes all measure 13x13 so perfect for records, and they’re 15″ deep, I think it’s actually 15.5″ deep but the shelves are recessed a little. Now that my system is setup I can spin records again. I can’t get over how good this system sounds. I’ve missed it.
Lost without music
The “After” is alot better than the before.
Fresh paint, new wood, a little bit of polish, looks great! 60$-Contact for details
Listening to Chicago on a record player is pure magic.
