As it turned out, neither of them was a winter person. Both prone to getting cold quick, though Kido a bit faster than Shintaro, they did their best to avoid having to leave the hideout. Heaters were a gift, so was the kotatsu they recently got but had to part from, sadly. It made the whole dan way too lazy. She still regretted having to part, even if it was for everyone’s best.
Silence had fallen between them after a brief small talk - how you’re doing, it sure is cold, the usual stuff - and Kido grew a bit uncomfortable due it. While Shintaro was focusing on his smartphone, probably debating stuff on the internet and Kido had a book to read, the leader felt like breaking the quiet.
“It sure has been an eventful year, hasn’t it?”, was the first to come to mind and leave her lips before she could think further about it. “Time passed by so quick in the end, I can’t believe it’s going to be a new year soon...”
