Dear past me

dear lorelai,

life sucks. really, it’s hard. i wish it weren’t, for your sake ---- things always seem so much worse when you’re young. but when you grow up? well, they aren’t easy, but you learn how to deal with things a little better. life’s hard, but you’re going to experience some amazing things. you’re gonna be a mom, and it’ll be bad timing. you won’t think you’re ready. believe me, though, it’s one of the best things that’ll ever happen to you. you’ll leave home. you’ll find a place where you really fit in, and you won’t be the strangest person there. no one will think you’re too loud, or too weird ( no one that matters anyway ), and you’ll have friends. you’ll have actual friends, and you’ll have a daughter, and your life will be pretty damn good. you’ll have relationships with men that really love you. some will be great, some..... not so much. some will last, some won’t. you’re gonna get married. twice. you’ll be really, truly happy. just give it time. yeah, things are hard, and life can really suck sometimes. things aren’t easy ----- things are never easy ----- but you’ll be okay. you’ll be more than okay. you’re gonna be happy. i promise.
