Recrop or gray box?

So I tried to post the comic as a text post, which means you get the little box you click. We don't want that though, as we want the people who sees it to not have to click it, as they might otherwise just skim through and miss it.

I tried reposting the comic as a photo, but now it's suddenly recropped and way tinier than before. Why does tumblr do this? Anyone who knows how to fix it?
