The team have had a steady week. Jemma & Charlotte have as usual, managed to meet the demands of our regular clients wanting temporary staff. The roles they have filled have ranged from production staff, warehouse operatives, administrators, cleaners, accounts personnel, labourers and even a stone mason. The most unusual request has been from a Game Farm for a “game bird processor” and YES they have filled it.
The university students have all returned to their studies, so a big thank you to them for their hard work and support over the summer.
Michele and Holly have been busy with permanent recruitment. A great result for a local medical centre who had tried to recruit themselves for a receptionist and a secretary with no joy – once Michele and Holly were on the case they were able to find the perfect candidates for them – both positions have been filled – The client is very happy.
Holly went to the Innovation Centre in Yeovil to register candidates and also went over to Westbury to meet with a great candidate who was pushed for time so could not meet with her in the office. Michele spent some time in Frome which resulted in a new client asking us for help with their recruitment for an Electrical/Electronic Wire Person – very specific but watch this space.
One of our long standing clients is busy looking for Drivers – we have been in a position to put some great candidates in front of them and offer short term solutions to ensure their business continues to run efficiently.
Kerry and Jane have been busy meeting and greeting all our visitors to the Gillingham Office – the feedback I get from people about the way they are treated when they come into contact with the team at Octopus is amazing – everyone is made to feel welcome no matter who they are. The enquiries ‘in-box’ is always overflowing with potential candidates – Kerry and Jane contact every single person to guide them on their next steps of the recruitment process.
As its Friday the team are in their own words “being naughty” – Holly is going to pick up a KFC on her way back from meeting a candidate – they are looking forward to the weekend – especially Holly who is going to a themed Party and Jemma who is going to see Exeter City play (photos next week!!)
