Red: That’s what we’re trying to figure out.

Red: I’m sure there’s some kind of…connection between them. I can almost feel it.

Red: It’s still not easy to tell why there’s this sort of a bond between these gems…the Chaos Emeralds are so mysterious, I hope we’ll find the answers soon..

For Shadow: How was your "childhood" with the Ancients? Did they do anything to you that makes you despise their descendants? xD Because let's face it, you're kind of a jerk to them...

Shadow: Oh no I didn’t lost my memory,the fault was mostly of Lyric’s mind controlling device that made me act like one of his blasted robots..

Shadow: And..about my childhood with the Ancients…no they never did anything wrong  actually! They were the closest thing to a family to me after all.

Shadow: I was created to be the “ultimate solution” to the Crystals’ curse

Shadow: They never treated me like a mere object though.I was more than that to them.Like a son maybe?

Shadow: They teached me all they knew,trained me to control my powers from the mysterious Chaos Emeralds to fulfill my task

Shadow: …

Shadow: It wasn’t as simple as they thought.Even with all our experiments,I still couldn’t fix the negative powers of the Crystals. We needed more time,more experiments

Shadow: …But we had no time left.

Shadow: All because of Lyric’s madness.

Shadow: They sacrificed themselves to save what was left to save. A better future.

Shadow: After stopping Lyric,we scattered the Crystals all across the land,while also keep experimenting my Chaos abilities.

Shadow: Not long after,they passed away one after the other.

Shadow: The last task they gave me…was to find their descendants,for the Ancients knew Lyric’s prison wouldn’t last forever.

Shadow: During all those years of searching,my Chaos abilities improved.

Shadow: Only a thousand years later, I finally found them…the descendants..

Shadow: Needless to say,the similarities were incredible.

Shadow: Although…they are not quite the same as the Ancients I knew..

Shadow: It’s just that…Sonic and his friends look more..childish,not taking anything too much seriously..

Shadow: It probably is a normal thing since their age…I guess

Shadow: And I can’t help but thinking…

Shadow:…they are nothing like their ancestors

Shadow: and it bothers me so much..
