What happened to Magikarp's wen

I am so sad about how awful and lopsided she looks now

Earlier this year Magikarp busted her head on the HOB filter intake and ended up creating this divot in her wen. It has healed since then but is very uneven and there is a section that seems to be lose from the rest of her wen.

A few months after that her wen grew past her eyes which is normally fine in orandas but it was causing her to be less active and skittish/jumpy due to not knowing her surroundings when she bumped into another fish or the tank. I ended up doing a procedure to remove that bit of the  wen. 

Last week I was packing up the fishies to travel for school and turned my back for a second while siphoning and she got stuck IN the siphon. I screamed and cried and could not get her out and finally just had to pull as hard as I could. I thought her wen would rip right off. Thankfully she is alive and doing well since. she lost many scales and pieces or her wen, and has what looks like a hematoma near the base of her dorsal fin. It is slowly healing now and I am so thankful she is still alive and doing well. 

She has also been losing color in her wen for almost a year now which I have no idea why or how to fix it.

She used to have this beautiful symmetric wen and I feel like I’ve destroyed it ever since the filter incident.
