The cold open in schitts creek 4x04 is such a great example of sibling vs parent understanding of a person. David knowing all about Alexis’s situation with Ted and trying to signal to Moira to shut up vs Moira having no idea what he’s trying to tell her and just barreling into the conversation. I’ve been in that exact situation with my younger sister. Schitts creek does a truly incredible job accurately portraying relationships of every kind.
