Maggie, Ruby, & Lilac We started transitioning them to hay from silage on Saturday. Since they won't be milk cows they do not need all of the energy that silage offers. Switching them to hay will help maintain a healthy weight.
One month until the baby is born! We have been busy converting old wooden freestalls into a pen pact for her to give birth in. She and the baby will live there until we wean the baby. Hopefully by then we will have a pasture to take the girls to live. The baby may go to the local zoo (where my sister works) to live out her life as an educational animal. Everyone wins!!! 😊
