In 1969 Red Rector & Fred Smith released “Songs From The Heart Of The Country”. An outstanding job as with everything Red Rector did.
Enjoy!

In 1974 Wade Hill released “Fox Fire”. The liner notes were written by Vassar Clements, and he sounds genuine in his description of Wade. I enjoyed his liner notes as much as the record. Lot’s of banjo music here!
Enjoy!

I found this tune to be interesting with the plucking sections done with the fingering hand. It is from Ramona Jones - Back Porch Pickin’ Vol 1. Oh and Red Rector is playing the mandolin on this one.
Enjoy!

In 1980 this collection of older original Carl Story songs were reissued as Collector’s Classics.

This is one great album! I guess you’d say that Red likes the KISS procedure for his music. Keep It Simple Stupid. Down the middle of the road bluegrass. Red shows off his mandolin picking and also plays some lead guitar on two songs.
Red Rector, guitar, mandolin Vic Jordan, banjo Buck White, guitar, mandolin Cheryl White, bass Doug Green, guitar
Enjoy!
