Shoebox eclipse observation
kinda boring innit
losing my sh*t
recently all AI developers apparently got together and decided it was now reasonable to put all their horrible little chatbots in invasive always-on bubbles that hover inside the workspace distractingly, often with a notification dot, and can only be made to fuck off with a hidden option if at all.
there's a meta ai bubble on WhatsApp. there's a perpetual Gemini button at the top of chrome. all MS Office apps now have floating Copilot bubbles as well as 'do you want to use AI for this' prompts (I guess they've got previous for intrusive on-screen presence with the Office Wizard but you could turn that off easier, plus it had animations). Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign all started having hovering Adobe AI bubbles this month (as well as a floating toolbar and constant prompts).
fuck you. get out of my house. I don't even let USEFUL TOOLBARS be in that space. Fuck offffffffffff. if AI is such a ~✨UsEfUl ToOl✨~ then why are you sooooooooo scared I might forget it exists for 5 minutes?
one day. a DPD delivery I make at work will arrive the first time. inshallah and the creek don't rise etc.
the other thing about jiu-jitsu today is I was wearing shorts and the whole session was games where one of us was always kneeling and I have. GRATED MY SKIN OFF on the mats
also talking to this guy on the way back from jiujitsu he asked about my cane and I was like 'when I was in my twenties I fell over in the street a lot so...' and he was like WAIT NO I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION. and I'm like yeah no I'm not in my twenties I'm 33.
and he seemed genuinely flabbergasted by this information which like. I find fascinating.
I have had this reaction before, from people about my age (I think this guy's like 35-36?) to friends in their 50s-60s. I don't think I look particularly younger than I am? but apparently. yeah. my vibe is permanently 25. (hopefully not in relation to behaviour or emotional maturity, I'm always fighting real hard to get away from the state of Being In One's Early-Mid 20s)
Lost my bank card on the way to jiu-jitsu on 22 July (nearly 3 weeks ago) ordered a new bank card on 25 July. still waiting for it to show up.
had to cancel and reorder a week ago because it claimed it had been delivered and it hadn't. now my credit card is about to max out bc I have a low limit on it because!!!! I use my debit card for everything!!!!!
fucking come on man
