OMSP TEST
The OMSP shelf is still crashing for some people. It’s difficult for me to know what’s going on because the 130 slot version I created yesterday doesn’t crash for me, so knowing what to further reduce it to is entirely guesswork on my end.
I’ve created another version with even fewer slots, and I’d be grateful if as many people as possible can test it out to see if it works for them.
Please download the versions with 85 and 81 in the file names. You’ll need to remove whichever version you currently have installed because they won’t work together. Install either the 85 or the 81 version (depending on your preference for walls down or up, I just deleted every other large and medium slot, which left me with slightly different total slot amounts, probably because I deleted different alternate lines in each package), not both of them.
If these work for everyone, I’ll change their names to match the original OMSP shelves, so people can just swap them straight out and it’ll cause less confusion (I’ve just renamed them for the test so I can keep track of how many slots there are in my various test packages). Or, if preferred, I’ll make all the various versions available with the slot amounts in the file names so you can choose whichever doesn’t crash for you (I’ll be keeping the 130 slot versions in my game as long as they continue to work).
I’m sorry this is a frustrating process. The Sims team might even push out a patch that addresses the problem at a later date, in which case we can all go back to using the many-slotted original version, but for now it’s a lot of trial and error until we find the magic number that works for everyone.
If the 130 slot version I posted yesterday did work for anyone, please let me know, because that information is just as helpful as knowing who it’s crashing for.
