The start of something new.

It’s New Years, the dawning of 2017 was upon the world as Makoto was dragged to a party by her elder sister. “What do you mean I have to go? I’m fine reading my books and studying. “Because, Makoto. It’s New Years, even you need to let lose.” Ofcourse, Sae was already drinking, taking as how she’s of age... Maybe she needed her breaks aswell. “F-Fine, I’ll take it.. I’ll go to the party.” With a cheer from her sister, a long walk from their room to the base of the Ski Lodge she was met full faced with a bright party, the sounds of Kareko flooded her ears, Sae no where to be seen. Not long after standing there, in all of her awkwardness a light was blasting her face, showing her and someone else in the spotlight.  [[@red-thief​ ]]

"I'll probably get some sushi in small celebration of my test scores." Kaito pondered for a moment twirling a lock of his hair between his fingers. "No... maybe that's too expensive even for just me and Morgana. You're free to join me if you want."

“Sushi? Well, I guess you have earned it. Your grades have you earned you a fair amount of whispering around the school, I couldn’t help but notice them.”She tried to hide her excitement about sushi. Expensive Sushi, to say the least. “We.. Could maybe split the costs? I’ve saved up a fair amount to take you out if your grades passed my expectations.” She admitted, rather shyly.

That was… worrisome, to say the least.

His fingers thoughtfully twirled a lock of his hair just above his glasses. His mind raced with possible ideas, countermeasures, motives, anything he could reach for.

A stalker was a possibility. That could be as easy to deal with as scaring them off or a trip to Momentos. An enemy who somehow was onto them and knew her ties to the group was an even scarier thought and would no doubt be harder to remedy. Whatever the case was this had to be dealt with as soon as possible or risk the worst.

The boy’s hand returned to his pocket as he mumbled quietly in response. “Do you feel like someone is watching you right now?”

“Y...Yes.” One simple word, leading into a whole host of other questions. To tell the truth, the feelings that she had been thinking she was being followed and watched came from watching Futaba do her work. The fact that she was able to hack into people’s phones, see their messages, wiretap buildings, it made the woman glad that she was on their side, but it worried her nonetheless. Considering the connected world that they occupied, it meant that even though they had someone who could do such a thing, it didn’t mean that it would stop people from doing it to them.

The business hours at Untouchable had always been irregular, so Iwai was no stranger to sleeping at ungodly hours. Okinami had been on a heist the previous night (day?), too, so he definitely had the upper hand!

But now that he thought about it, free dinner wasn’t all that great an incentive for downing gallons of shitty instant coffee and taping his eyelids open. He propped his arm on his desk, resting his cheek on a fist as he lazily watched Okinami mend his coat.

“Being childish gives you less wrinkles,” he insisted. “With that attitude of yours, you’re gonna dry up like a mandarin peel left in the sun by the time you’re 20.”

His eyes narrowed as he observed the thief shoddily stitching up the gash in his garment. Apparently the kid hadn’t been paying attention in home ed.

“That looks terrible. You should patch it up, not just stitch it. Otherwise it’s just going to rip again.”
