"Lend me $500?"

    “ f - five hundred ... ? ” 

     that was .. a lot of money. but he wouldn’t ask if  he didn’t really need it, right? ( he never learns, too naive, too concerned for the well-being of others. )

     he pulls out his checkbook then, without little hesitation. $500.00 is written onto it. he’s really doing this.

     “ who should i make it out to ? ”
