hc that gabe knew the pack kids by how they walk to a stop
like he could have his back to them but if they walked up behind him and stopped he'd know which kid is it
David's steps are always followed by a final skid on the floor when he widens his stance and leans on one leg
Asher's steps always come to a sudden halt instead of slowing down to a stop, sometimes followed by a thump of his heels because he stopped on his trippy toes
Milo's steps get slower and louder on the floor as he comes to stop, dragging his feet down bit by bit until his feet are planted firmly on the floor, Marie could never get him to quit
tank's steps are quieter, but no less obvious to him, they walk carefully as to not make noise,he could never tell if the next step was the last one or not, they all sound the same, sometimes, and if you wait a bit longer, you might hear a soft thud of the heel of their shoe after they lifted to the tips of their toes and landed back again ,a little quirk they do,gabe suspects they pick it from Asher
Christian almost skips into a a room, leans more into the front of his foot, moreso falling into the step then actually planting it, result of being the one that tends to lean forward to look at the person he's walking beside, the constant skidding on the floor is always obvious, he doesn't need to stop for gabe to know who it is,but when he does, it a tap and a glide as he straightens back up plants his feet down
Amanda's steps are rhythmic, gentle glide of the back of her foot forward before the sharp thud on the floor, when she stops walking the final thud on the floor is always slightly louder, as if that step was the final note in a song she was making
brook's shoes always ratted them out, they pick heavy shoes that make noise when walking around in,they like adding more to the dramatics of their steps by adding two loud ,big ,final steps when stopping
Miguel's steps are much like Amanda's but in reverse, a soft ,deep glide of his foot followed immediately by the planting of his heel and the start of the next step, then the last glide of both his feet as he finds his stance, one foot at a time
