david didn't tell them what the meeting was about
Probably tank/darlin when they rekindled with the pack after years and was introduced to david and ashers human partners (they thought Asher and david were secret gay lovers) :
I said it before and I’ll say it again. The Shaw Pack needs to spar with each other. For educational purposes obviously and not because they’d all be hot, sweaty, focused, panting…
What was I talking about?
Happy pride yall!!
We got Trans Baabe with supportive husband Ash, gender Queer Darlin/Tank, intersex Dear, and the gays themselves Damien and Huxley!
I might do some pride redacted headcanons if people send them! No promises though
asher uses tank's mugshot as a reaction photo
I think some of us are forgetting Darlin's strenght
They fought two vamps at the same time alone and pretty much won
That wolf can DEFINITELY lift Sam over their shoulder and just keep him there.
That time David gave Sam tips on how to play video games..
And a little bonus doodle
Darlin’ was self conscious about their body when they met Sam. It’s a tapestry of their failures - scars from abuse, injuries and bruises from battles, a record of everything they wished they could hide about themself.
Quinn only fucked them in the dark. Their body turns him off, he said. He didn’t want to see their scars because it disgusted him, reminding them for the millionth time that he was doing them a favour by even staying with them. They weren’t pure. The blank canvas was already sullied with another artist’s work - one that he despised and would rather destroy than embrace.
At one point Darlin’ believed him wholeheartedly. Maybe a part of them still does. They shunned themselves from the world, avoiding being seen in public, hiding their body with their leather jacket. No one would want them anyway. No use putting it on display.
They were a tank. They were made to take damage. They were made to be sturdy, to withstand anything and everything and stand tall afterwards. Appearances shouldn’t matter if they lived to tell the tale afterward. It just means they fulfilled their purpose.
That was all they were built for, after all.
But Sam was different.
He kisses their scars. He doesn’t shy away from it. His fingers trace every bump like it’s braille, like he’s reading his favourite story over and over, memorising the details, the descriptions, the story.
He doesn’t make them feel like it’s something they should hide.
Sam loves all of them.
It took them a while for them to fully accept that.
His love was so strong it made them want to love the parts of themselves they used to hate. When they see their scars in the mirror they’re reminded of the times when Sam would trace the lines with his lips and his fingers on those nights when their mind was finally quiet and their body didn’t ache.
Maybe they were built to take damage.
But that doesn’t mean they weren’t also built to accept love.
