Favorite thing - Despite everything he does and where he came from, he’s extremely human. 

Least favorite thing - Knowing that because of his loyalty to the Mafia, he’s extremely loyal to Mori and would probably defend him with his life if it came down to it.

16. “You’re getting crumbs all over my bed.” ~ daisuga!

There was nothing unusual about this, Suga told himself. 

They studied in Daichi’s room all the time. Nothing to get weird about. 

It’s just things had seemed different lately. Suga was sure he was just imagining things, but it seemed like even the normal things were different. Was it because they were third year? Graduating soon? Was Daichi getting sentimental? 

That had to be it. That had to be the reason Daichi seemed to be sitting a little closer, asking Suga to stay a little longer. It had nothing to do with Suga, really. 

But now, here they were, doing their homework not on the floor but in Daichi’s bed instead. And it was a big bed. Like, who even gets a bed that big when they’re in high school? They were barely touching, working on separate assignments, eating some delicious cookies provided by Daichi’s always kind mother and Suga was just minding his own business...

“Suga?” 

“Yeah?” Suga jolted out of his skin a little, feeling like he’d been caught. 

“Are you okay?” 

“Of course I’m okay!” He said quickly, shoving a fourth cookie into his mouth. “What reason do you have to think I’m not?!” He demanded through a mouthful. 

Daichi fiddled with his pencil. 

“For starters, you’re eating much more quickly than normal. Those cookies have been up here for, like, three minutes.” 

“They’re delicious!” Suga insisted, swallowing a bite and feeling a blush creep up his face. 

“And you’re being much messier than normal,” Daichi said seriously. “I mean, look,” he swept his hand over the comforter, wiping what seemed to be a full cookie’s worth of crumbs onto the floor. “You’re getting crumbs all over my bed.” 

“They’re just so, uh,” Suga could feel himself stammering more with every word, “good and delicious and-” 

“But you’re acting weird.” 

Suga felt like he was going to combust. 

“I’m not acting weird!” He yelped. “You’re acting weird!” 

Daichi’s eyes widened. “What?!” 

“Why are we studying on your bed?!” Suga finally demanded without meaning to. 

Daichi suddenly went very pink. 

“O-oh,” and suddenly Daichi was the one stammering. “I just thought, it’d be more comfortable, and, uh...” 

Suga glared at him. “And what?” 

“Okay maybe I wanted to sit a little closer to you and it’s comfortable up here and you know what maybe I don’t want to share these cookies with you anymore,” Daichi said loudly, yanking the plate away from Suga. 

“Noooo! Daichi, those cookies are all I have - wait what?” Suga stopped whining for a second. 

“I said you can’t share my cookies.” 

“No, before that,” Suga narrowed his eyes. 

“Uh,” Daichi started to look like he might pass out. “I w-wanted to sit closer to you.”

“Why?” Suga blurted. 

“Why?!” Daichi frowned. “Why?! What is wrong with you?!” Daichi set the plate of cookies on his nightstand with more force than Suga thought was strictly necessary before taking Suga’s face in his hands - Suga squawked loudly - and kissing him. 

When Daichi pulled back, red to the tips of his ears, he mumbled, “That’s why.”

29.one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heartNo matter what Dazai does, there is always a small possibility of Chuuya needing to use Corruption during a mission, and he won’t show up in time to save him…

30.one headcanon about this OTP that mends itWhen Chuuya was younger, he couldn’t control his Ability while sleeping and would float in his sleep and find himself on the ceiling in the morning. To prevent such mishaps from happening, Dazai was assigned to share the same bed with him and hold his hand while sleeping until Chuuya can control his Ability.

This would be while Dazai is at the Agency. He and Chuuya are forced to work together on various missions against the Rats/Order/whoever ends up terrorizing Yokohama for the sake of the Book. The more they work together, the more they talk to each other, and the more Dazai realizes that he might want to talk to Chuuya outside of these missions. Even worse, he might have feelings for Chuuya. 

Dazai tries to offset this by being as annoying as possible so that Chuuya gets pissed off and wants nothing to do with him outside of missions. But Dazai isn’t really happy with how that plan has turned out, despite it meaning that he doesn’t have to deal with the emotions surrounding wanting to get close to someone. He’s not satisfied with what they have now. 

So on one mission, while they’re in a fight, Dazai starts taunting Chuuya in a way that leads to flirting, but they’re flirting to spite each other. The flirting escalates until Dazai ends up saying that he wants to try dating Chuuya. Chuuya is so shocked that he almost gets shot, and Dazai is grateful for the fight distracting them. He hopes Chuuya will forget before the mission is finished. 

But Chuuya doesn’t forget, so Dazai is stuck trying to explain himself after the mission. He tries to lie about it, but Chuuya forces him to tell the truth.

Headcanon A (realistic): Despite deflecting from his real problems most of the time, Dazai does on occasion open up to Kunikida (while drunk mostly) or take his advice in weird ways as he tries to learn how to actually be a decent person. 

Headcanon B (hilarious): One of Dazai’s attempts at being a decent person was to buy Kunikida “relaxation toys” which went as well as you would expect. 

Headcanon C (heart-crushing): Dazai used to resent Chuuya for saving his life. 

Headcanon D (unrealistic): Dazai decorates with bandages.

oohhh. interesting! i absolutely see it. and tbh the way my brain compartmentalizes things is weird. i ship it but i also sometimes ? don’t? idk man it’s hard to explain how i see them bc i have Many Thoughts about it

yeah, these are just personally how I see it, since I noticed that O/da kind of looks at D/azai in a kind of, you’re actually comparatively a very young person despite being an executive and I’m probably the only one who thinks about that when talking to you, sort of way, since he refers to D/azai like: “Just a crying child who’s been left alone in the darkness.”
