So is the aged and scarred Rathalos in the trailer for Stories 2 supposed to be Ratha? If so, they kinda got the scar wrong 🤔

(I don’t think it’s meant to be Ratha. It seems to be a different scar, going around the eye rather than through it. From what I can tell, it seemed to belong to someone named Red. This can’t be the Rider from Stories, as their canonical name is Lute. Maybe “Red” is simply what that group of Riders called “Redan” and that Rathalos used to be his Monstie. That would also explain why the Rathalos is so large (I swear it looks bigger than normal Raths) and covered in moss, as it would have been alive for centuries. This is purely speculation though, we’ll just have to wait and see. It does confirm my theory though that Monsties do eventually reach the sizes of normal monsters.)
