NIGHT'S BROW QUIRKED at the 'tude from the younger turtle. Although he was quite used to it by now, both from those around him and various meetings with his own counterparts, it was still a sight nonetheless. There had been a time where he himself had the same general hostility and distrust towards others, though that had been drilled into him by Splinter over the years more than anything.

ARMS FOLDING OVER his chest, the elder let out a chuckle, more entertained than threatened or intimidated. Cocking his head to the side slightly to get a better look at his counterpart, he spoke, tone lighthearted and almost playful.

" EASY THERE, BIG Guy. Don't worry, the universe ain't gonna implode or nothin' like dat, I've done this before. " He spared a quick glance around, making sure the surroundings were clear and safe for a discussion before he returned his attention to the younger turtle in front of him. " I come in peace, from anotha' dimension and all dat. My Donnie sent me here ta' make sure everything's all good here and not, y'know...crazy. Gotta be honest, I didn't actually expect ta' see any of us this early -- most a' da' time it takes a minute. "

Of course, this was addressed when Donnie and Leo were not around, considering this turtle's track record of keeping his soft side dimmed to a dull hue. "..You look like you need a hug, Mikey." Raph placed a hand on his shoulder- gently but firmly- and looked down at him with a tender, sympathetic glaze clouding his neon orbs.

Mikey was in his own world of thought and worry when he heard Raph's comment break through the cloud of depressive exhaustion. He felt his brother's hand on his shoulder, and not even pausing for a second Mikey pulled out from under Raphael's sympathetic gesture only to move fall over and wrap his arms around him.Yeah. He needed a hug. He REALLY needed a hug."We... just got her back" the young turtle whimpered, pressing his forehead into his brother's plastron, "Raph... she was supposed to stay with us... with Sensei. Why? Why do these things always have to happen?"

 It had been three weeks since the day of Mikey, Donnie, and Raph's capture. Shredder had the genius plan that, since he couldn't defeat the turtles, he would make them join him. Leo had been on a across country mission at the time. Mikey and Donnie had escaped themselves not long after, having been placed together in the same cell.    But Raph----   he hadn't been so lucky. A dark figured crept silently in the shadows, unseen and unheard by the enemies surrounding him. That figure clutched his katanas tightly, till his fingers turned a light shade of purple. His anger was not directed towards the heat of the robotic facility, nor the burning pain in his chest from the many days he spent finding and then fighting his way to even enter this place. What made his cold blood turn boiling was seeing his brother Raph side by side with the enemy.             Not as a prisoner,                         but as an ally. The red scar on his brother's right cheek was obviously noticeable. Whatever card the foot clan had played to convert him obviously wasn't a gracious one. But it had worked.  Mind tricks, no doubt. They were known to do such things with great success.     What had they done to him? A swift jump from the shaft above, landing softly against the hard floor. He knew Raph had heard since he'd stopped in his tracks.                                     "Raph."

                            He had come here for his brother. And he wasn't leaving without him.

The Parasite

Despite the gnarled facade of the room, the destroyed materials and bubbling glow of heat-altered mutagen canisters suggested that experimentation had been taking place before the blaze broke out in the now desolate lab. Mikey covered his mouth as the smell of burning flesh wretched at his senses. This was unlike any other scenario he'd ever seen before... the carnage left behind the flames that had whatever ran loose was absolute. Not a sign of an escape attempt surrounded them: the doors were only marked by heat damage, and every alien lay dead in it's place like death was a welcomed friend. Needless to say, this entire setting unsettled Michelangelo quite a bit.

"Guys, I think we've explored long enough" he moaned from beneath the hand he had cupped over his mouth and nose, "can we go home now?"

((THE PARASITE THREAD OVERVIEW Core plot recap: Thanks to Kraang experimentation, there is now an intelligent parasite running loose in NYC which reproduces inside of corpses. However, it can only infect creatures while they’re still alive, and has no ability to physically harm it’s victim in any way. However, it DOES have a substantial effect on the mind. So in order to reproduce, the virus has to successfully goad it’s victim into committing suicide via carefully-crafted mental attacks. Starting Scenario (I will change this if it is requested of me): The four brothers are investigating a charred kraang lab where a horrific stench is prevalent. They quickly discover that every alien involved in the research facility has died in the flames... all evidence suggesting that not only was the fire intentional, but that no escape attempts were made. The order of responses will go like this: mikeybro2k12 (when I post the starter) red-and-reckless purplemaskedgenius herebyheroic (this order purely based on the chronological order of volunteers.) Whenever/whether or not your character succumbs to infection is up to each individual Mun's discretion If anyone involved has any problems with any of the above, please let me know. If I don't receive any requests for change/advisory suggestions by tomorrow, I'll be posting the starter and hopefully set this ball rolling.))
