The bullying in the IT fandom, especially in the reddie part of the fandom, is so toxic and disgusting. It's making so many of us uncomfortable and afraid to just talk about ideas for fics. People are having to leave Twitter and tumblr because they are receiving death threats and being called pedos.

This needs to stop! Fandom is supposed to be a safe place for everyone to express their creativity and enjoy content.

Y’all, I need some advice from my Reddie fandom:

So I learned recently that someone took one of my Reddie fics from AO3 and posted it on Wattpad. I know, that sounds pretty open and shut bad, but they actually did credit me as the author and acknowledged that they were just posting it as a fan.

But the thing is... there’s a reason why I posted it on AO3 and not on Wattpad. I didn’t want it on Wattpad because it’s just such a different environment, people are so much more abrasive with their criticism and less empowering, in fact I even went on Wattpad and looked and there were a lot of comments that were kind of nasty and making fun of my writing style. So a part of me wants to send a message to the person and ask them to take it down, but at the same time they did credit me and acknowledge that they were just posting it as a fan?

So I just don’t know, am I being a princess here?

Btw: we’re about a week out on the next chapter of my Reddie AU, so thanks y’all for being patient while I took a break to study for the MCAT.
