Mother’s Day Dinner at RedDot Brewhouse
After a satisfying Mother’s Day lunch at Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant, the celebration continues with an al fresco dinner at RedDot Brewhouse.
The al fresco dining area is a fun setting for all types of celebrations and occasions, and I would definitely keep the venue in mind when I am organizing future events.
Since the restaurant is a brewery, I had to indulge in a glass of Weizen which is a fruity flavorful beer that is easy to drink and pair with all types of dishes. I would definitely return on another day to sample other hoppy offerings.
1st course: Spaghetti Seafood featuring squid, clams, prawn, basil, garlic, beer broth, and a healthy dose of chili for a good kick in your palate. This pasta was easily the best dish of the night and I would highly recommend it to anyone who would not mind a bit of spice and heat.
2nd course: Pan-seared Salmon Fillet served with green pea puree, sauteed seasonal vegetables, and a savory unagi sauce to help tie all of the components together. The salmon fillet was hearty and juicy with a nice crisp on its skin while the green pea puree helped to balance the salmon’s strong flavors.
3rd course: Rib-eye Steak (250 grams) cooked medium rare and served with a seasonal salad and a black pepper sauce. Unfortunately, the cut served to me was full of fibrous tendons which led to a rather disappointing end to the night.
Overall, it was a fun enjoyable al fresco dining experience at RedDot Brewhouse where the beer shone brightly while the food would require a bit of tweaking to perfect it in order to match its exceptional drinks offering.
