Zayne introducing you as his "girlfriend".
It happens in his territory — the hospital cafeteria, or maybe a medical seminar where colleagues spot him sitting with someone. Zayne being Zayne, people would def notice the plus one with him.
Someone makes a comment “Dr Zayne, didn’t know you’d bring someone with you.”
He’d be very calm about it, yet the tips of his ears would turn red. you'd probably stand next to him, too amused observing. Zayne just says, “This is my girlfriend,” the way someone might state a universal law.
To whiiich, people would blink twice or even huff out surprised laughs. Still, his eyes would find yours, and soften.
Zayne is the type of boyfriend to mention you, even during the times you're not by his side. you slip into his conversations. Like a passing remark of “a recommendation from a certain someone”.
And even though he might not name you outright, the smile and the faint tint on his cheeks would be telling.
Word would spread “like an infection”—as he’d like to call it— because of two things:
Dr Zayne has a girlfriend and Dr Zayne has a girlfriend.
