He’d only been the Second division Commander for about a month now and he was still getting used to things. A small group already as it was, his division in particular was in charge of infiltration, an elite attack squad really to put it bluntly. In theory, they were meant to be the primary attack squad as well, the first on sight after the fourth or eighth division scouted the area ahead of time -- in theory at least. From what Ace had picked up on already, each mission was different and it was always difficult to discern what would happen when, if at all. Solo, this would likely comes as little to no issue, given that he was used to working on his own and relying upon his own experience and instinct to carry him through. It was completely different when he all of a sudden had to work in a team, as a division.
Even better when he was working with someone he hardly knew.
His nervousness gripped at his chest like a living breathing thing, left to wonder ( briefly ) if he was even walking normally when he followed the directions Marco had given him to the quarters of one of the members of his newly assigned division. Finding the door proved no issue ( given how long he had wandered around this deck during his first month aboard ). What proved annoyingly difficult was actually working up the urge to knock once he had, deciding after a moment that he was being unreasonably STUPID about the whole thing.
His knock was solid, followed by only a heartbeat of patience before he turned the handle to push the door open. Quick to lean against the door frame, it didn’t take long to pick out a head of startling white hair, his own head tilted in mild curiosity before a small grin spread across his lips.
❝Aki, right? Get packed, we’re going on an adventure.❞
