“RIGHT? I don’t know what it is about this place, but I’m starting to get the feeling that it isn’t the perfect getaway that I thought it’d be.”
She admits with a sigh, before shaking her head and pursing her lips; gaze flickering back to the stranger with a thoughtful sort of concern.
“And I’ve already checked in with both the locals and Helios’ library; there’s nothing substantial enough to really tell if there’s even a way out of here at all. But there has to be. I know there is. We just have to... look harder, I guess.”
There’s a pause, then, before Sam sighs again, shoulders slumping as she gives him a tired smile.
“Sorry; that was a lot to dump on you just now, huh? I’m guessing you just... showed up here just like the rest of us?”
