with  every  word,  she  moved  closer  until  they  were  almost  too  close.    too  close  for  two  people  who  were  not  betrothed  to  one  another.

she  usually  wouldn't  be  seen  in  a  club    ;    not  when  she  would  rather  be  at  home,  reading  some  trashy  romance  novel  dreaming  of  her  own  prince  charming.    but  here  she  was,    strayed  away  from  her  perfect  night  in  for  a  night  of  dancing  and  drinking.    her  version  of  hell.      they  had  a  varied  past.    heartbreak  and  trauma  from  their  first  break  up.    margaery  throwing  herself  into  school  and  then  work  just  to  forget  him.    but  she  could  never  truly  forget  jamie  fraser,  no  matter  how  many  frogs  she  kissed.  

her  confession  was  said  in  haste.    a  mix  of  jealousy  and  courage  from  the  three  martini's  she  had  drank  in  the  few  hours  they  had  been  here.    she  saw  the  way  other  women  were  looking  at  him  and  she  hated  it.    no  he  was  hers.    only  hers.    everyone  else  could  fuck  off.

it  had  been  far  too  long  since  margaery  had  been  to  the  stables,    the  city  taking  over  her  life  just  as  quickly  as  she  has  entered  it.      god  she  missed  the  countryside,    the  fresh  air,  basically  everything  about  it.    she  felt  so  at  home  here,    as  if  she  was  made  for  the  outdoors,    and  well,  it  didn't  hurt  that  she  got  to  see  a  certain  red  headed  scottish  man  in  the  process.  

a  smile  etched  against  her  facade  as  she  patted  her  horse,    her  aqua  hues  looking  up  at  the  man  as  she  nuzzled  against  the  animal.      ❛     you  really  know  how  to  spoil  her,    don't  you  .ᐣ      i've  never  seen  buttercup  thrive  this  much.    my  father  isn't  paying  you  enough  .ᐟ        "

it   was   as   though   he   was   trapped   inside   a   wolf's   maw.   ned   stark   had   been   beheaded   by   the   bastard   joffrey   baratheon,   who   styled   himself   ruler   of   the   seven   kingdoms,   and   robb,   so   far   from   king’s   landing   and   so   hopeful   of   saving   his   lord   father,   could   do   absolutely   nothing   but   receive   the   news.   his   sisters   ...   they   were   in   the   capital,   defenceless,   vulnerable   to   the   sheer   malice   of   the   newly   crowned   boy.

it   was   the   most   sickening   night   of   his   life.   he   was   king   in   the   north,   yes,   but   ...   what   use   was   a   crown   when   he   could   not   save   those   he   loved   with   it?

I was just reading about Noel Coward's play The Vortex, in which Coward uses the main male character's cocaine addiction as a metaphor for his homosexuality, and I suddenly thought, 'hmmm, this sounds awfully familiar...'

Indeed!
