thank you for the ask :) in my setting every character as an aura, which is basically their life energy. for those who have a magical power, the greater their aura is, the greater their power is.

here for exemple, Genevya (on the left) as a bigger aura than Maggie (right), and therefore is more powerful. typically the bigger one's aura is, the taller they grow as a way to "store" all of it. there's cases where one doesn't grow enough to contain all this energy, and most of the time, that results in death. unless alternative means of storing are found...
