Redken Obsessed with Diamond Oil Glowdry!
Redken Symposium 2013 Wrap-Up: OBSESSED!
In a world of colour, many of us go about our day without noticing its brilliance. However, there are fleeting moments that can and do exist to really, truly light a spark. Be it simply the sun setting or the prismatic glow of a redhead done right ... there in lies inspiration.
Redken's 2013 Symposium was saturated to.the.max. Complete brilliance and excitement for three whole days. To be emerged, is to become #RedkenObsessed. This is inspiration. And it will be for days, weeks, months. Yes.
And yet, in reflecting, I never became overwhelmed or displaced despite the 10s of THOUSANDS of hairstylists like myself wondering around in complete awe. So kudos to Redken. Job well done. And to those who missed out on this crazy awesome event -- you've got two years to save your $$ until Redken Symposium 2015.
Here are my tops:
#1 Meeting Tracey Cunningham
Many might have already known this. But I love Tracey. She is so crazy awesome. In every major publication, every single month you see her handy work. From Jessica Beil to J. Lo... yep, that's her. That 'lil thing called Ombre... yep, that's her. So when I met Miss Tracey in person I was down right all nerves. Annnndd I might have made up a fake Australian accent/persona to introduce myself. Annnnnndddd she might have called me out on it. Annnd I still think she is awesome. Sorry Tracey!
#2 Red Carpet Finishing w/ Geneva Cowen
This show literally gave me chills. Everything was on point. The models, the set, the on-stage education. PERFECTION. I approached her afterwards, and sincerely thanked her for producing an amazing show. She was just as cool off stage and she was on. No accent needed.
#3 Watching Jayson Morgan
My boss and Redken Platform Artist is kindddd offf famous. And so given the opportunity to see him shine in front of thousands, you bet I'm going to "WOOOOOOO!" my butt off. (I did)
#4 The Masses
See above photo. We filled an arena, twice, with hairstylists. (Cool.)
