I'm Breaking Up With Walmart 🏬🙂🛒🛍️🙅🏻♂️
Growing up, my favorite store ever was Walmart. I used to love shopping there in the '90s and 2000s. I would usually buy movies, mainly on VHS, and sometimes books, and magazines, and toys, and snacks. Plus, I would always have lunch at their McDonald's area. But unfortunately, as years went on, my interest in shopping for movies, books, and everything started to diminish. Around the early 2010s, I started to lose interest in certain movies and rarely ever watched them. From beginning to end, at least. Plus, they don't have much in the way of movies anymore. They mostly have TV shows, some from long ago, on DVD. But for the most part, empty shelves. And I could never find a book that sparked my interest because I was more used to books for kids. I never found interest in novels or autobiographies. Also, I outgrew toys. At that point, all I would actually buy would be sketchbooks and markers. Now, in 2024, things are a lot different. Walmart, at least the one I've been going to, no longer has a McDonald's. In its place, they put in a tea cafe. Where they would serve iced tea, boba tea, etc. Who would want to get a boba tea at Walmart? Sure, it's 2024 (going on 2025), but is such a change meant to be? I'm completely aware that change is a part of life, and it's going to happen regardless of how we feel, but I, among others, am not fond of certain changes. I really don't like being dragged away from my comfort zone. It's just not how I function, and I can't (let alone won't) be forced otherwise. So, since there's nothing I can do to change back what I'm used to about my favorite Walmart, since they got rid of the McDonald's area 3 years ago, I might as well never go back to Walmart ever again. Everything I love about it has vanished into oblivion. Change is inevitable, but it's not always easy to deal with. I know there are some of you out there who relate to this, and I'd like to know your thoughts. At least some of you that reside in Central Oregon, because I doubt that people from anywhere else would relate and/or care.
