Our moonthly red tent circle was tonight! We are moving into winter here in Wales and we are considering how to welcome the dark? From the Earth Pathways newsletter... "This is a time of last harvests and clearing and burning the remaining annual crops so that they become ash. We don’t, however, burn the perennials; these trees, flowers and bushes are casting their seeds and losing their leaves into piles and drifts and we can let that be, because the detritus slowly becomes a haven for small animals and insects or turns to mulch and compost. In the stuff of our own everyday lives, we should also use both methods; the burning and the benign neglect. We must continually develop trust in our judgement; the discrimination to know when to burn or when to leave other things to develop to the next stage. How do we know?" What in our lives receives benign neglect, and what needs to burn?
