as someone who got into them during the revenge era, what was your opinion of danger days when it came out? i only became a fan in 2010 but I heard fandom opinion on dd was pretty divided (also hi its zeropercentdotmp3 from your notes)

hi!

so, I wasn't actively listening/keeping up with them when DD came out, actually. I didn't listen to it until 2013 - I got back into the band heavy literally like two months before the breakup. I think my initial opinions on DD are still my opinions now. overall, it's a fun album and I think they accomplished the goal of rejecting everything that TBP represented for them. but it's not my favorite album of theirs. there are some songs I really love on it, and there are songs that I can acknowledge are great but just not my favorite, and there are some that I think are meh. however I absolutely adore the aesthetic of the album and the killjoys concept, and wish there were more music videos to go along with the storyline. I think the worldbuilding is awesome.
