💕UPPER BODY LOVE 💕 I’m pretty lazy about upper body work, I’d choose leg day any day of the week, so I have to find ways to sneak around my excuses and procrastination. I climbed for two years on crags when I was at uni and now I can’t remember what real rock feels like under my finger tips in this context. Maybe that will change. I hope so. When I first started bouldering with my women @jessicamorrisyoga @lydialotusdesigns @sunflowerannie1 I was pretty anxious during the process. Nobody would have known, I would just follow Annie around and do what she did (if I could!) none of them probably realised that I felt like a nervous puppy. Annie has two dogs so that figures 🤣 This was before the lockdowns, before I started lifting some weights. I’m not great in big crowds of people whether they are engaging me or not, I’ll usually find one or two people I feel comfortable around and stick with them. After lockdown I came to @redpointworcester by myself on a really quiet day and I noticed the difference. With almost nobody there I felt braver and I was stronger already by that point. I was in my own space and felt like I could do what I like without being on high alert. Today the work I’ve been doing with my body really showed through. I trust my legs, and somehow my upper body has got stronger too. I wouldn’t normally try any level of overhang but today I did. It was much busier so I didn’t last long but these shoes from @soill also gave me a lot more trust in my feet for the brief time I was there. I hope I get to climb with my women again soon. Life’s busy again now isn’t it.
