@redpryor  Haven was not a mutant, but she was here at the school all the same. To recover among people who might be aware of what she'd been through and would actually believe it. To hide from authorities until that could be worked out, as she had been known as a terrorist to the government though not to the public (she'd strongly considered turning herself in, as she was guilty, but decided she could do more good in the world free than self-indulging in pointless penance) And, she supposed, to learn. Not learning what the students did, the control of their powers and general schoolwork, but having her own mind again, her own soul again, her own life again. To learn to be able to question, to consider, to see other perspectives as possibly right, something she had been blocked from for twenty years. She had been here just long enough to start learning faces, but she didn't know the one belonging to woman in garden on stone bench. And Haven wanted to meet everyone, to speak with everyone, to get to know everyone. Because everyone was so important and had so much to learn and to teach. As she got closer realized she did know the redhead's face, they just simply hadn't met. She recognized her in the same way one knows the face of a celebrity. When she was closer still, enough to speak at a normal conversational tone, she asked, "You're one of the x-men, aren't you? Marvel Woman? My name is Radha Dastoor, or Haven. I'm a somewhat recent resident, so I hope you don't mind the interrupting--I'm trying to become familiar with everyone." She hadn't thought Marvel Woman had been with the X-Men since Magneto took over, at least she hadn't seen her in photos, but perhaps she had returned to the team, or had gone from being a field fighter to a teacher, or something else. She supposed she'd find out in a moment.

I’m not sure if I’d qualify since my hearing loss is mild

it causes me difficulties everyday and I’ve started repeating back exactly what I hear to my mum so she better understands the total gibberish I hear from her mumbling voice, which seems to be helping her get it. But I do get reminded that there are people with much more profound loss and in comparison my loss is almost not there?? even though there are times when I flat out don’t realise someone’s spoken to me, or I can see their lips moving but no sound is reaching me I’ve loss and tinnitus too, the tinnitus is annoying a lot of the time, very loud and ringing

I don’t know if I have the right to call myself Hard of Hearing
