a/n: i saw two sad tiktok about kirishima so we starting off kiri week sad 💀 i promise it’ll be happier 😤

prompt: unrequited love

warnings: it do be sad

you and kirishima walked down the halls, talking about how class went until you saw a girl from the general studies class who had recently had it out for you. “kiri, can you hide me please! it’s the mean girl coming again,” hearing the evident worry in your voice kirishima quickly nodded.

the first thought that came to his mind was trapping you between him and the wall. the close proximity made your breath catch in your throat and you heart begin to race, he was so close to you and just staring. you could see his cheeks start to turn pink as he watched you, his gaze so soft yet very focused on you and just you.

“is she gone?” you didn’t even realize kirishima had whispered to you, he was just very close. your eyes finally broke from the male’s and looked down the hall to see that she was very far gone. you gave a curt nod and kirishima pulled back from you, cheeks still pink as he looked down at his shoes. “thanks kiri, you’re the best!” kirishima looked up from his shoes, grinning at you.

he opened his mouth to say something but a certain pink girl grabbed his arm, “kirishima you gotta see what denki just did!!” the female began to drag him off, leaving kirishima frantically looking between mina and you. he mouthed a quick ‘sorry’ before disappearing around the corner with mina. however, you didn’t miss how his pink cheeks grew red when mina grabbed his arm or how he just let himself get swept away by the female.

your heart sunk as you continued down the hall in your lonesome. you thought that kirishima could possibly reciprocate your feelings for him. you truly beloved in that moment when he stared down so softly, almost lovingly at you, but that was in the past. it was just one moment afterall. and sadly those moments were rarer than diamonds and more precious than all of the gold in the world. moments were simply just moments, and that moment was now forever gone.
