The massive wetlands populated by grasshoppers are home to a huge variety of giant crabs which are often domesticated and used as mounts.

Mothra owns a bar, but doesn’t hire anyone to be a bartender even though she can afford to. She finds it enjoyable to listen to all the stories visitors bring with them so Mothra occupies this position herself.

This old cicada visits the town often. He entertains the children with his gold flies and tells them stories of times long past.

The monk is here to teach kids some religion.Fun fact: beetles and cicadas believe in the same gods. I should probably elaborate more, but there’s simply not enough time.

I'd add a couple of jellyfish on top. Looks like a neat background for an aquatic painting.

that would have been cool! ill use that next time i mess up a painting! i ended up with this intstead and im happy with it
