Shiro hummed softly as he made his way up to Eric's apartment, fumbling with the keys a bit before he got the door open. Knowing Eric, he wouldn't be surprised if the blonde were still fast asleep, so he was careful to close the door as quietly as he could, kicking off his shoes before taking off his bag and shrugging off his coat.
He grabbed the small box of chocolates from his bag before quietly moving to the other's room. A soft smile tugged at his lips as he caught sight of the blond's sleeping face, a small chuckle soon following as he set the box down before carefully crawling up to lay beside the other's sleeping form, being mindful not to make the bed shift too much or make too much noise. Last thing he wanted was to disturb Eric or wake him up if he'd had to work late again the night before.
The blond had loosely wrapped an arm around the other's waist. The gesture had been completely automatic, almost knowing it was Shiro that was by his side. He woke up a few moments later, the whole thing finally having processed to his mind, slowly blinking azure eyes opened. "...Shiro?" Gently running a hand through his own blond locks, he looked at the clock, then back at his lover. "Don't you have school..?" Even so... A small, still somewhat tired smile softly curved his lips. Could he really complain? He gently pressed a kiss on the other's forehead. "Silly... Happy Valentine's..."

Upon hearing the familiar voice, the blond's eyes opened slowly and he glanced up at Shiro, breathing somewhat still shaky as he forced the tears to stop. "Just some... mission stuff, nothing bad."
