I’ve had a novel idea. It’s not exactly a novel idea, this novel idea. I often find that my novel ideas rarely are novel ideas. And then there are my novel ideas which are probably better as novel ideas.
So @heavybassslut had been reading Sonic High School to me and it was absolute cancer but fun, but then I had to read the last chapter to her and I kinda want to fucking die
"im not even going to even"
me
ugh...
I'm in the worst frame of mind at the moment, I don't want to be at work because everyone here is miserable and "has no future" they're all much older then i am and i understand they have seen a lot and been through this sort of thing before( being made redundant) but they act like the whole worlds ending. i just cant be around people like this im in the wrong frame of mind to be surrounded by such negativity. i need to remember that im 22, young and have a good education under my belt and have a variety of skills. this isn't the end of my road and i shouldn't let these people, who honestly dont give 2 f$%ks about each other and do nothing but talk behind each others back. get to me...
You know World War II was waged from 1939 to 1945, that's only six years. During that time forces from both sides mercilessly killed each other, bombed civilians, and destroyed their enemies. When a country's spirit was broken they lost, it took six years for the most advanced country at the time (Germany) to be defeated and the radical violence of Imperial Japan to be stopped. During that time America fire bombed Tokyo, destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Originally Geographically Berlin was built on a flat plane however the rubble from the city was buried to the point that it now appears to have been built on hills. London was practically destroyed, The french country side ravaged. Civilians and Soldiers were killed indiscriminately and thousands died on every side. But you know what, it only lasted six years. Even with our Japanese Internment Camps it only lasted six years. Fast forward to 2001. America gets hit by the worst act of Terror in human history, the September 11th attacks coordinated by radical Islamic Extremists killed more people than the Japanese Military Strike at Pearl Harbor. Twelve years later the war is ongoing. People have gotten too soft. They don't remember what war is, they like to think we're "winning the hearts and minds" in our illegal peace keeping operation but all we're doing is wasting lives, time, and resources. They complain when we drop bombs and civilians get hit. They cry when we torture our captives, and they complain endlessly about racial profiling. I hate to break it to you but Racial Profiling works. 32 of the 40 of the FBI's Most Wanted are Muslim. That's more than 75%. Its retarded that an 80 year old woman, or a 5 year old little boy, or some random nuns get stopped and searched at random by TSA, when the large majority of major terror strikes in America in the last 12 years were by Radical Muslims. I also hate to break it to you, but you can't win the hearts and minds of a family who's son joined a Terrorist Organization out of his radical religion. It doesn't matter if they're good people who agree that Radical Islam is bad, they wont give their son, or brother, or father up. They weren't raised to. True the war isn't conventional like it was in WWII. But it isn't as extreme as it was in Vietnam either. If we have a hotspot in a town like say Baghdad, and we know Terrorist activity is high there, we have the resources to start kicking down doors and searching them. If a family is holding guns and ammo for a Terrorist Cell they're just as guilty as the Terrorists, and if you find a group of terrorists hiding, they should be killed just as indiscriminately as they'd kill us.
War is hell and ultimately it is a soldier's job to take life. If you've never seen Samurai X, Kenshin's Master Hiko wisely says "Swordsmanship may be an art, but ultimately a sword is a weapon of murder and it can serve no other purpose." A soldier is a tool for killing the enemies of our country, not a diplomat, and we shouldn't expect them to make themselves living targets in hopes that the enemy will have a change of heart and forsake their God. It may not be a pleasant truth, but it is the truth. The naive lie that War doesn't have to be brutal and we can make everyone happy and not discriminate against our enemies while we do it has left us with extreme debt, twelve years of over sees war, thousands with Post Traumatic Stress, and a divide between cultures, friends, families, and neighbors on how/what should be done. Either pull the kid gloves off and be willing to actually wage war Or pull back and go home, but stop wasting time, lives, and money -E
Why do they call them bacon strips? I mean, it's sort of redundent, like, they're obviously strips.
