@redvirtue liked for Robin Hood! Link
The forest was normally quiet, especially this deep in Faron Woods. The rushing of streams, the chirping of birds, and the occasional wild animal. All in all, it was one of the best places to stay hidden from the Knights of Hylia as long as they stayed on the move.
On the plus side, it was one of the best places to stage an ambush.
His brother preferred the flashier kinds of theft, but Renegade and Orville felt that this way was safer. Sure, nobility and the Church of Hylia brought plenty of knights with them when travelling through these woods- but they weren’t as knowledgeable of this area (and before Link was known as Renegade, he was a knight known for his swordsmanship). It left the knights with the decision to follow the thieves or to continue their transport.
Nonetheless, they had to be careful if the Shiekah were to be involved. Having Hylia’s personal guard on their case wouldn’t end well for them.
(unfortunately, Orville was certain it was a matter of time, and Link agreed)
As a chilly breeze went by, Renegade pulled his cloak closer to himself as he peered down through the leaves and branches to observe any travelers on the road. Not that he’d ever attack simple travelers (not all bandits followed the ‘steal from the rich and give to the poor’ as his band of thieves does), but he merely wished to keep an eye on things away from camp. See if there were any patrols or any merchants coming through the area. If there were scouts, it would be time to scare the knights back to the nearest outpost (it meant they were getting too close for comfort) and then proceed to speak with Orville about another location to move their camp to.
Hm, there appeared to be a new traveler coming down the road.
