“Link...?”
Hylia peeks in carefully to Link’s bedchambers, tray of food in hand, though she worries she’s intruding- whether it is on the knight’s personal train of thought or attempted rest. She has always been careful with him, for she was forced to imprison him to make him a worthy hero. He is freed now, with the goal to help him heal, further train his abilities, and grant him the divine gifts to ensure his success.
“I... I hope I am not interrupting anything... I just wished to know if you feel any better, compared to the previous night,” she states simply, opening the door further after feeling a bit more comfortable. “As you must surely be taking care to not overeat, I have some pumpkin soup prepared for you.” She places the tray gently on the dresser beside the door before awkwardly returning to the doorway.
Hylia isn’t sure what else to say, or even do, as she aimlessly gazes around the room, a gentle blush on her face. For there is something much more pressing that weighs on the Goddess’s heart. It is the strange feeling inside her chest when she thinks about Link, an emotion she does not understand. Perhaps it is something human, something she might not be meant to feel- but she is drawn to it all the same.
And Link, she hopes, will be the one to teach her its meaning.
