Pizza Worth Waiting For💯 . State of Mind Pizza has opened their 3RD location after successful spots in Palo Alto and Los Altos . Their freshly thin crust pies are among my favorite on the Peninsula and their newest location in Redwood City at Marsh Manor has many more options including a fried chicken sandwich, dirty fries and more . They don’t sell single slice pizza like they do at their Palo Alto location so I did what any logical person who had just eaten lunch would do: I ordered a whole pie! . From start to finish, it took 20 minutes to make the pepperoni pizza from scratch and I busied myself with the multiple large screen TVs as well as eyed the arcade games . To reward my patience, I decided to have a slice there, but one became two which become three! . Old World Ambiance 💯 . Selby’s opened during the pandemic and the team behind Spruce and Woodside’s Village Pub have dramatically transformed the former space into a destination dining spot . As the newest Michelin star on the Peninsula, they’ve pivoted to a prix-fixe 3 course menu with American classics reimagined for modern times . I loved all the dishes and it’s a hearty amount of food for those worried about leaving fine dining hungry . A great date night spot for the Peninsula and we even saw a baby and child or two (did they get the prix fixe too?) .
