Reed Hexward; Local funny silly Death Wizard with a passion for Hybridization of pets (and sometimes humans) via Necromancy. Also the face of my blog and my first and currently only max level wizard.
Information Under the Cut; Spoilers for Arc 1 / 2 / 3, minor spoilers for karamelle
Reed’s a Krokotopian boy who’s been through quite a bit in his relatively short life. Even before he was on the track to become a divine paradox; he had enrolled into Ravenwood after his brother was hospitalized, only to get expelled for some of his more drastic ideas about magic and experimentation with pets and humans to some extent. He then went back to Krokotopia to take on an entire initial villain arc, only to be defeated and barely escape execution due to the actions of the wizard that had become his friend in-between defeating him and taking him to be judged by the council of light.
Mans pretty much got adopted and ended up going from a deceitful minor villain to a properly emotional and compassionate protagonist. However sometimes his emotions were more harmful than helpful to him, not only due to being willing to help anyone and everyone even when time is limited, but also due to the pain caused by killing multiple villains over the course of the worlds. Morganthe’s death affected him more intensely than Malistaire’s, though both affected him quite heavily as a death wizard. In some ways he felt connected to Morganthe, especially after the events in the memories of Avalon’s past. His fault in his emotions became especially clear when it came to his overarching fear of his friends only being his friends to keep him from going back to being evil. At a point, this thought became so powerful in combination with his shadow magic that it caused him to be consumed by the shadows temporarily before being rescued by his friends. Not to mention the fact that the discovery of Mellori’s connection with Grandmother Raven, the Fighting of Titans, and the process of becoming Bartleby’s scion was far beyond unhealthy for the boy’s mental health.
After all of that however, Karamelle seemed like a proper vacation spot. It was not, for multiple reasons, including the discovery of his immortality after a terrifying incident regarding a broken steel bar in a factory disrupted by the cavities, but at the very least Reed still has his friends; that’s really the thing that matters most to him.
