Gonna take this time to remind everyone that Charlie Kirk was a Nazi in all but name and stated he believed empathy was fake. The man was a fucking monster let’s not white wash his legacy of destruction and hate. Two people have already been fired at DC and MSNBC (author of red hood comics and a political analyst) because they wouldn’t glaze his beliefs. So called liberal institutions have no issues protecting this monster’s legacy.

I think it’s worth starting to ask ppl when they graduated and if they used chatGPT to do it. If you’re my nurse and you used the fucking crime machine to cheat your way through nursing school I do not want you anywhere near decisions about my health. If you’re a therapist I don’t want you making shit worse with your lack of knowledge in your own field since you cheated yourself out of your own education. I can’t imagine I’m the only person who will feel like this either. When do we need to add more tests and qualifications to make sure these people can actually do their damn jobs? When do we have to fire nurses that don’t know basic nursing skills because chatGPT did it for them.

There will be consequences to a generation learning to turn their brains off and only listen to The Machine. I am afraid. Do not use genAI for anything but especially don’t use it to think for you.

Looking at makeup looks on Pinterest is really just a window into how fucking deranged but also BORING popular beauty trends are rn. Like ooh let’s do ‘deer makeup’ but it’s just very basic normal every day makeup with literally nothing special other than the weird prey branding name.

Like it’s a bunch of very attractive girls doing the absolute least at all times. No creativity, nothing genuinely new or interesting. Just the same bland ass white girl bs the rest of the girlies are doing. Never thought I would miss 2016 beauty but I really do😭😭 there’s no passion anymore it’s so gross.

This could be complete nonsense tbh, but sometimes I really wonder how much the decay in design and aesthetics in America over the last decade has been connected to the rise of fascism in the US.

Like popular design over my life has more or less been incredibly desaturated, sterile, and conformist. I don’t hate minimalism as an aesthetic but I do hate the white, black, and grey voids people create. To take a home and make it feel so cold and uninviting, to take out all the vibrancy and signs of human life, really doesn’t sit right with me.

The reason I say this is because historically fascist regimes have relied on strictly enforced aesthetics and co-opted artistic/design elements. They strip the meaning from something and declare it their own thing (think what the nazis did with the swastica, a symbol that holds very different meaning to the Hindi world). I just see how truly soulless and inhuman some of the spaces we’ve designed are and wonder if something similar has happened here.

Another month where I can’t get my adhd meds. Two years straight having to fight to get my fucking medication every single month. It’s so clear how little of a shit anyone gives about any of us, this would be absolutely unacceptable for any other medication. You don’t even hear news about it, no one cares at all.

To the people who use my medication to finish a paper or to party, sincerely fuck you. You’re a selfish fuck. It’s hard enough to get the mediation I need to function when every party involved wont make enough for all of us, the last thing we need is people taking it just for fun. You don’t even fucking need it. I’m so over this.
