Zorc confirmed that there are currently no contract talks with Mario Götze about a renewal. Zorc gave notice that they will still talk to Götze but at the moment it looks like as if he is no priority in the club despite playing a really good second half in the Bundesliga [kicker]

It makes sense tbh bc there were indeed ups and downs but in the end everything was good he reached a good level again, played good football again and the fans started to respect and even like him after everything that happened. If he want to leave then the timing is perfect as he will be soon 27 and could probably play some good football in another club with the called ‘prime age’
Both Mario and Klopp stated in an interview (not long ago) that they would like to work with one-another again the interest is definitely there. With some reports stating that certain players like Shaq set to leave and even Firminho persuading Klopp to sign Mario, I can definitely see it happening. If not now then never.
Obviously it’s not 100% for now but it’s tempting to move towards it and I think Mario will leave, for a new challenge and for a change, alongside Kloppo who he loves, I can see it happening.
